My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption, things could drastically change a month later.  Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam and follow up exams.~

Health: ***** Successfully treated for flea dermatitis upon intake. No obvious issues found during vet exam *****
Temperament: Meet Dougie, a sweet and friendly foster dog in search of his forever home filled with love, cuddles, and understanding. Despite his small size, Dougie has a heart as big as can be and is ready to bring joy and companionship to his new family.

Dougie loves meeting new people and making friends. His warm and welcoming nature makes him a joy to be around. There's nothing he enjoys more than snuggling up with his favorite humans. He is a true cuddle bug who craves affection and closeness.

Dougie is well-behaved and knows to do his business outside like a good boy. He is also trained to use pee pads for added convenience. While he enjoys leisurely strolls and exploring the outdoors, his limp means it's best for him not to go too far.

Friendly towards other dogs, Dougie gets along well with his furry companions and is not much of a barker. He prefers peaceful interactions and values the company of others.

Dougie is seeking a loving and patient family who can provide him with the love and support he needs to feel secure and happy. A safe and cozy environment, especially during storms, will ensure his well-being. He thrives in a home where someone is around often, whether it's a stay-at-home human or another furry friend to keep him company.

If you're looking for a loyal and affectionate companion who will stick by your side through thick and thin, Dougie is the perfect match for you! Come meet him and experience the love and joy he has to offer. ❤️ --

Additional adoption info

Please allow up to 72 hours for a response.

Adopting one of our dogs requires that you fill out an adoption application, have your references checked, and let us visit your home.

The required minimum adoption donation is $250. That amount covers the spay/neuter, annual vaccinations, heartworm testing, and one month of heart worm preventative.

We spend about $300.00 just to treat the pommies that are heartworm positive. We have invested more than $1000.00 in several of our pommies--treating them and kenneling them. Kenneling cost $16 a day per dog. We need foster homes!
