Mama Cindy came to us as a devoted mother, caring for her two precious kittens who have since found loving homes. Now, it’s her turn to be the one cared for. At around 3 years old, Cindy is a beautiful, quiet soul who’s still learning that the world can be a safe and gentle place.
She’s very skittish and shy around new people, but we believe there’s a soft and loving heart underneath that cautious exterior—just waiting for the right person to help it shine. With time, patience, and a calm environment, Mama Cindy has the potential to feel safe and secure again.
She would do best in a quiet home with someone who understands that love can take time, but the reward of earning her trust is incredibly special.

Go meet their pets
Visit us (by appointment only) at our physical location in Blairsville, GA 30512. Please e-mail us your contact info. and which pet you are interested in. We will happily arrange a meeting with that pet.
We also hold adoptions most Saturdays from 10-4 at the Alpharetta Petsmart. It is located across from the North Point Mall. Also Petco in Milton/Alpharetta. Please e-mail us for specific dates and locations. Not all pets at our shelter are at the adoption event. If you would like to see a certain pet at an event, e-mail us and let us know which one you are interested in.

The mission of Castoff Pet Rescue is to save and nurture homeless dogs; to match companion animals with loving, life-long homes; to foster responsible pet care; to control overpopulation in our community through spay/neuter programs; and to assist other shelters and rescue groups in any endeavor to benefit the animals. We believe that the same kindness, compassion, and generosity we extend to our two-legged neighbors should be given to our four-legged friends because they are not able to speak for themselves.
