Hi! My name is Reas!

I'm an adorable boy who came to Whiskers with a painful eye condition. My lashes were curling inwards, causing me a lot of discomfort. Thanks to the wonderful team at Orchard Animal Clinic, my eyes were fixed, and now I can see so much better and am pain-free!

I'm a sweet, gentle boy who LOVES attention. I also get along well with other cats after a proper, slow introduction. I'm looking for a calm home with people who will shower me with love. I enjoy a great window seat for sunbathing and playing. I'd love to have a cat friend similar in age to keep me company.

I am FIV+, but I can live with other kitties with proper, slow introductions. FIV is not spread through casual contact, grooming, or playing-only through deep bites and mating. If you're looking for a loving and gentle companion, I might be the perfect fit for your home!

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

We accept applications online and in person at events. Applications are accepted on a first-come basis.

2.
Meet the Pet

We require an in-person meeting with potential adopters and one of our adoption specialists. All members of the family should be present.

3.
Interview

Interviews can be conducted via email or in person and may happen before, after or during the in-person meeting with the pet.

4.
Home Check

Home checks may be completed at the discretion of the interviewing adoption specialist.

Approve Application

A follow-up contact will be made by an adoption specialist 1-3 days post-adoption and again at 10-14 days.

We are an all volunteer staffed rescue. Typical response times are less than 12 hours; however, please allow up to 72 hours for a response.

Whiskers Mission

Our goal is to minimize the euthanasia of high-risk pets in Utah. Three actions we focus on to help us achieve this goal are as follows.

Reducing the number of unwanted pets through spay and neuter programs.

Keeping pets in homes by providing education and resources.

Rescuing and adopting out pets from shelter partners.
