My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sanji
My brother and I were surrendered late in May because our owner was moving. I am almost 2-years-old and consider myself an extremely handsome cat. Just look at my photo! I am a friendly, lively boy but not exactly a social butterfly. I spent some time at the Smitten Kitten Cat Cafe, where my favorite spot was, without a doubt, the humongous tree in the room. I loved climbing up there really high and parking myself all day. The drawback is I sometimes fell asleep and ran the risk of falling! I admit I can be shy and hesitant with new people, but once I feel comfortable, I am incredibly loving. At the SKCC, the interviewer lady said hello from the ground, I saw her waving at me, and I smiled. I got adopted in early September, and life was GREAT! I got along with the dog, the cat, and the kids. But they returned me after only one month. The HSHC staff is flummoxed as to why. I am a very well-behaved boy with proper litterbox skills. Oh well. I am still looking forward to being adopted. I hope you have some tall structures to explore in my new home. 11-12-24

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
