My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact the Cat Team (catapplications@graspinc.org) for more information about this pet.

DOB:  10/26/23

Lazlo's feline mom (Lana) was a stray cat rescued on October 23, 2023 by a cat owner/good samaritan.  Three days later, Lana gave birth to four kittens.  Lazlo, his mom and three siblings were kept safe in an enclosed porch for the winter, but eventually they needed more room to run, play and explore.

GRASP became involved with the kitties in the spring of 2024, when all of the kittens were vetted and altered.  Lazlo was listed for adoption, but after being passed over all summer, due to an abundance of options, entered a GRASP foster home, along with one of his brothers (Luna 2), in September 2024.

Lazlo was quite wary of his new home and foster parents, preferring to sit in the bathroom sink, rather than out in the open.  He watched as his brother quickly warmed up to their foster mom, and slowly decided that it was safe to do the same.

Lazlo reportedly got along well with his mother and siblings.  He has gotten along well with his brother while in foster care.  He plays chase with his brother, but is cautious of all things new, including the fosters’ cat.  He has not yet met any dogs or children.

Now one year old, Lazlo would make a great addition to any home that doesn’t quite want the chaos of kittens, but is looking to have a pet for the long haul.  While not listed as a bonded pair, Lazlo and his brother would make a great pair for someone looking for two cats.

More about this rescue

G.R.A.S.P. stands for Greece Residents Assisting Stray Pets. GRASP's goal is to give animals, primarily those picked up by Greece Animal Control, a second chance for a safe, happy, and healthy life. Before G.R.A.S.P., Inc. was formed, animals that were not claimed by their owners were routinely euthanized. We also strive to educate the public on the benefits of spay/neuter and the need to tag their pets at all times. G.R.A.S.P., Inc. is a non-profit organization and is completely dependent upon donations from the public.
