My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This little cutie is named bandit because he steals hearts.   Somehow he was seperated from his gang of outlaws and found himself in the care of his loving foster.  She sent us his diary from his 'incarceration'.  LOL.

Day 1-3: I’m under quarantine and everything scares me. I’m mostly afraid of Crocs. I’m eating canned and dry food but the canned food upsets my stomach so I prefer dry only. I keep sticking my whole nose in my water, but I’m learning not to do that. I use my litter box like a champ. I can hide really good and meow super loud to let my foster family know I’m here but they have to work to see me.

Day 4: I got a new, tall toy to scratch and climb on. I still hide when someone comes in but then eventually I sneak out to check who it is. I met a chicken today, I hissed at it to make it run away but then I watched it a long time and I’m not sure if maybe we could be friends.

Day 5: still under quarantine, sigh. I’m less scared and am running around my room and playing with my toys. I got to watch the chickens again and stalk through grass like a big cat. Crocs are the worst.

This little 'criminal' is just waiting for you.
IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.

Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adopt

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transport

We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.November 4, 2024, 11:33 am

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
