Friendly Buster is now in Virginia and looking for a foster or his forever home! He was saved from living his life on the streets of TX by SSR. Buster is an affectionate guy that loves to give kisses. He really likes treats and will follow you everywhere. Buster is great with all people. He can be dominant towards other dogs, wanting all attention for himself. Seems to be best around submissive females. This boy is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, just under sixty pounds, and would be happiest with a spacious outside area. Buster is heartworm positive, continued treatment will be covered by SSR. He has been crate trained, but will need a heavy duty crate to continue his successful crating. Buster is so ready to give you all his love. More information on Buster as we get to know him.

Additional adoption info

The first step to adopt one of our dogs is to complete an adoption application. Once you have submitted your application, a volunteer with call your personal and veterinary references. Following references, SSR will send out a volunteer to conduct a home visit and meet any members of your household. We come to your home and further discuss the adoption process.

The adoption application will let us know a little bit about you, your home, your lifestyle and what you are looking for in a companion. Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to fill out our application to adopt one of our dogs. Your application will either be accepted or denied after the volunteer submits a home visit report.

ADOPTION FEES
There is a non-refundable application fee of $15.
Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs aged 6 and under.
Our adoption fee is $225 for dogs 7 and up.

Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue is an all-volunteer rescue focused primarily on the rescue of German Shepherds. We are based out of the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia, but expand our reach and work to save German Shepherds in heavily populated areas throughout the country. While our rescue is a new organization, our volunteers have been rescuing German Shepherds for many years. Our hope is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome every German Shepherd in need.
