My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Home to Home Program

Contact: Madeline at 916-847-4602

Tortilla is a young spayed female tortie and Blanche is a young dmh black spayed female. They had kittens together under a kind person's porch and now that their babies have been safely taken into foster, these two sweet mamas are looking for their forever homes. They get along great, so they can be adopted together or they can be adopted separately. Blanche is very social and friendly, super affectionate and loving, while Tortilla is a little more shy but equally affectionate.

More about this rescue

Mission Statement
Fat Kitty City Humane Society is a non-profit 501(c)3 Corporation, dedicated to ending needless animal suffering, through spaying, neutering, socializing, adopting and other aggressive approaches.

Our objectives are:
Provide a "no-kill" sanctuary for unwanted, Feline AIDS positive or negative, abused, neglected, feral, tame, stray or lost pets.

When possible, each pet will be rehabilitated, socialized and adopted (with a microchip) to a good family.

Those pets that cannot be rehabilitated, will live out their lives in our sanctuary, in dignity. They will receive love, housing, food and veterinary care.

To spay or neuter every pet we receive, to reduce unnecessary suffering.

Provide reasonable space for each pet to live out a high quality of life (not to live out their lives in small cages with barely enough room to move around).

Provide relief from the weather by providing a heated shelter during cold weather, etc.

Provide stimulation. A yard with trees to climb, lawn and dirt to play in and toys to enjoy.
