My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rusty!!

This 1 year old petite pitty mix came to us when she wandered into some kind folks barn. Nobody claimed her so now she is looking for her forever home through adoption! Rusty is a high energy gal and will require an active owner that will be willing to bring her on adventures and give her an outlet to run some energy off. Rusty has been kid tested and seems to really enjoy them! She is okay with confident cats. Rusty enjoys other dogs, but tends to be a bit pushy and tries to be “in charge” so a non reactive resident dog might be a good fit for Rusty. Along with a confident owner that has some experience with the bully breeds.

Rusty enjoys toys and playing tug of war, and is getting better with her crate training. Rusty is eager to please humans and we know she will be a fabulous companion for the right adopter, could it be you?

Rusty is spayed, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, and microchipped! With an approved application her adoption fee is $275.00

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
