Meet Onyx!

Onyx came to NRPR as an owner surrender. Unfortunately his owner was unable to care for his needs. Onyx was severely matted. After a much needed groom and some tlc, he is feeling his best!

Onyx is a super playful boy! His favorite game is throwing paws. Unfortunately for Onyx a lot of dogs dislike this behavior. Onyx has been wonderful with other dogs however his playmates don't always enjoy his company due to his play style.

Onyx is a snuggle bug who also enjoys going on walks! Like many poodles, he has a lot of energy. With proper enrichment and exercise, he does very well in the home!

Since Onyx is a poodle, he will need regular grooming. Potential adopters will need to brush him multiple times a week on top of grooming appointments every 4-6 weeks on average. Poodle coats are high maintenance.

Onyx is available to be transported to Illinois, Western Indiana, Southern Wisconsin, and Eastern Missouri during our next transport August 14-16. Adoption fees are sponsored for this transport!
