My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Whats poppin? My name is Twizzler, and Im a friend to all! My fan club keeps growing by the day. If youre looking for a goofy, playful, affectionate partner in crime, look no further. I came from the Marion County shelter after being found as a stray, and Im so excited to find my forever family. My human friends say that Im overflowing with love to give. I love playing with other dogs just as much as people, so I would prefer a home with at least one other playful pup to romp around with. Being an only child is alright as long as I have outlets for my playful energy. Puppy playdates, anyone?

An active lifestyle is ideal to keep my energy level managed, but dont worry about me getting destructive or disruptive in the home. My favorite toys keep me occupied when youre not available. I dont love being confined to a crate, so a home that allows me to free roam with minimal alone time is ideal. Sometimes I bring my people their own shoes as a prank. I really should have my own TV show so that other people can enjoy my antics.

Id love to go on adventures with my new family! Im currently working on some leash reactivity when I see other dogs out walking. I should be able to chill out more with patience and consistent work. The rescue team can help show you what that looks like.

I would do best in a home without cats since I seem to have a strong prey drive around small animals. I have found kids to be lots of fun, so as long as theyre respectful of me, Im down to cuddle with anyone of any age. Im also a total dream to take for car rides and bathe. Who knows what other activities Ill master with my new best friend. Join my fan club and prepare to fall in love!

I'm in a foster home so please fill out an adoption application at www.animalaidpdx.org to meet me!
