Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bockwurst, who knows the names Buck and Sam, is a medium hound mix who weighs roughly 30lbs. This special guy has endured quite a rough life prior to coming to SAAP. He was hit by vehicle which required one of his front legs to be amputated. While he is a tripod now, that doesn’t hinder him one bit! He loves to hop and spring up to give you kisses, he loves to run around and play, and he loves going on walks! Bockwurst is great with kids of all ages and other dogs but does not like cats, so his forever home should be one without kitties! He is house trained, loves to sleep on pillows and is the perfect cuddler!

You are required to sign a legally binding contact on your new pet. As part of that contract, should you no longer be able to keep the animal for any reason, the animal MUST be surrendered back to SAAP. This is to ensure the animal is placed back in foster care while we secure a new approved home for the animal. However, we always try to ensure that the initial placement is best for the pet and your family. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption.

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non profit organization. We are dedicated to the rescue of animals that are in need of a forever home. Our animals are fostered in homes where we provide love, food, medical care and socialization until adoption into a new loving home. We educate on the importance of spaying and neutering of all pets.

We ensure all animals have been spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They are micro-chipped, up to date on shots and on heartworm and anti-flea medications (as age appropriate). They are ready and waiting to start their new life with their fur-ever family. Could that be you?
