Lily is a very intelligent and inquisitive short-haired tortoiseshell cat, 8.3 lbs. of sweetness and would sit on your lap forever if she you’d let her. Her tiny meow sounds like a little kitten’s and can sound REALLY pathetic when she's lonely.
Lily was thought to be feral and was terrified of everything outside, including her feeder. She was trapped and spayed but during post-surgery recovery, she started meowing, purring, making biscuits and reaching to be petted. Lily must have had a family in the past but was lost or abandoned, and found herself all alone and scared.
Lily wants a cat savvy forever person who’s home a lot to give her the attention she craves and she must be an inside-only cat. Someone familiar with the tortie personality would be ideal. She loves being petted and especially likes having her neck and chin softly scratched. She LOVES canned food. Since she’s not much into drinking water, warm water is added to her canned food to make it soupy to make sure she’s hydrated. She’ll eat dry food but it isn’t her favorite. But she LOVES treats like Temptations Mix-Ups and the like. A deep litter box is needed, maybe with a top, because she’s VERY vigilant in making sure everything is covered.
When you walk, she wants to be right at your feet so if you’re at all unsteady, she’s not for you. That might stop once she feels really secure.
Since her past is unknown and in her foster home she isn’t around kids, she shouldn’t be in a home where young kids live or visit often. Older kids 12 and older who love cats might be OK. She’s thought to be about 1 1/2 to 2 years old.
She tested negative for FIV/feleuk and heartworms, has her rabies vaccine and a microchip. She also had her feline distemper vax and a dose of Advantage Multi (defends against fleas, heart worms, ear mites, roundworm and hookworm) was applied.
Age: 6 years. Weight: 60 lbs Temperament: Older respectful kids only. Vetting: Spayed, up to date on vaccines, FIV negative.
