My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Smooch is officially looking for his forever home! Prior to rescue Smooch lived life on the streets. Because of this he did test heartworm positive but he has since gone through treatment and been cleared for adoption. Smooch is full grown and the perfect sized companion, fluctuating between 25-27 lbs.

Smooch is VERY dog friendly and loves having a dog friend to chase. But Smooch LOVES his people the most and would want to sit in your lap all day if it was up to him! Smooch will also need a home without cats due to his prey drive.

While Smooch doesn’t love the crate he will tolerate it. He is 100% potty trained. Smooch is a very smart boy who is eager to please. He is looking for an adopter who can give him some grace as he adjusts to life inside of a home.

**Smooch is fully vetted and being previously heartworm positive has no long term effects on his life expectancy. He will receive normal (ivermectin based) heartworm prevention once a month like any other dog. Our adoption fee is $300.
