My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bruno is the best boy ever. He might seem intimidating at first but once you know him, he will be the biggest cuddle bear there is.

Bruno loves other big dogs and is a social butterfly. However, he will not do well with small dogs, cats or animals, as he has a high prey drive for such. He would do well with a family, but because of his size and rambunctiousness, when he's excited, we don't think he would do well with young children.

Bruno loves being outside, even with the heat, he is not happy to be in his inside Kennel. There he also loves his pool, which he loves lounging in to cool down. Getting the pool filled up is already a difficult task, as he loves chasing water coming out of the hose. He also loves to chase his toys and parades around with them, once he caught them.

He does very well with his obedience. So far he knows Sit, Down, Place, Paw, and Stay. He is also working on his leash manners. With consistency and patience he will be able to absorb so much more and be the most lovable dog in the universe.

More about this shelter

Animals Are Our Mission

Over 1,100 animals pass through our doors every year. Did you know that the average cost to get our animals ready to be adoptable is roughly $350 per animal? That is because we require our adoptables to be spayed/neutered and fully vaccinated before adopting out.

Population control and disease management are issues in our community that we are working hard to resolve. Your donations help ensure we can continue our mission.

We have an amazing team of hard working staff caring for our animals 7 days a week. They are supported by a group of engaged board members that are focused on bettering our organization.
