My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looks like: Chow Chow, Australian Cattle Dog
Female, 9 years old (estimated), 33 pounds

Stella is definitely a star! This sweet girl has been through a difficult chapter, and can be a bit cautious when she meets new people. But earning her trust reaps major rewards. This unique lady will closely bond with you, and will keep you entertained. She'd love to lounge with you while you're working at your desk or in the yard, or hop in the car to run errands with you- she LOVES car rides!

Stella is polite and gentle when walking on leash, she loves a leisurely stroll and may even get trotting when there are interesting smells ahead. She is a master sunbather and a tug-of-war champ. When Stella's ready to play, she will find a toy and invite you to play with her by bowing! She might even trick you into thinking she's a cat--she's been known to rub up against her human's legs and let out something that sounds a lot like a meow!

Stella finds herself searching for a home with other dogs that can respect her space and a spot with people who have herding dog experience and are knowledgeable about training. She would also be happy to be the apple of her adopter's eye as a solo dog.

After being found as a stray, Stella was taken to Hitchcock Road Animal Services before arriving at POMDR.
