Romona, my sweet baby Romona. She is such a sweet, gentle, and playful girl. Romona gets told she is beautiful multiple times a day, and honestly, the people aren't wrong - she’s gorgeous, and she doesn't let it go to her head. Before fostering Romona, she struggled at CACC, and I am so happy I've been able to foster her, help her feel safe, and give her all the pets and smooches she needed to come out of her shell.
Personality-wise, Romona has a moderate to high energy level. She is known to chill and relax but is also ready to ride at dawn (she gets the Zoomies a lot and loves to play). She doesn't know how to be a dog; for instance, I had to show her how to lay on her dog bed. She recently just barked for the first time, and I've been selfishly avoiding writing this and putting her on the “adoptable list” for a long time now - I'm very sad and a little teary-eyed right now. And finally, when I walk her, she doesn't go to the bathroom until she returns to my front yard.
Some challenges I am working on with her is Romona is currently going through potty training. Additionally, she does have some separation anxiety. Thus, I recommend she go to a household with another dog. I even think she would do well with cats. She can also be very timid at first, but she will warm up (she is just very skeptical about new things)
Romona is so loveable and innocent, and I want her to go to a family that simply adores her.
Romona LOVES other dogs like she absolutely loves them. She loves to run and enjoys the park, eating treats, being outside, and watching what is going on in the neighborhood. Romona would thrive in a more active home with another dog she can constantly play with. Romona is literally the best, and I'm obsessed with her. I would 10000000000000% adopt her, but I promised myself I wanted to save as many dogs as I could. She deserves a household that will cherish and love her. If you are looking for your next pup, Romona is your gal!
