My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Layla was saved from the streets in the south about two years ago. She’s probably around 3 years old, 45 pounds, fully grown and both house and crate trained. And now, it's time for her to find her own family!
Layla is spayed and updated on vaccines and will be microchipped when she goes home.

She is friendly but very shy, so like most dumped dogs, she will need some time to understand she is safe and loved by her new family.
Layla is not a barker and is very gentle.
She is good with other dogs and cats but doesn’t choose to play with them.
She is very food-motivated which is good for training but if there are other animals at home, feedings should be done in separate areas.

Layla will do best in a quiet home without kids and big parties. She needs a family who will give her lots of love and the time for her to understand that she is in a loving, and safe forever home.

If adopted, she can come to NJ on our next transport and go directly to her new home.

More about this rescue

Friends for Life Animal Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)3, volunteer-run, foster-based Rescue (no facility).

Our focus is to save the lives of dogs and puppies in high-kill shelters in the south and local owner surrenders.

Our mission is to place unwanted and in-danger animals in homes, regardless of age or breed. To educate the public and help stop animal cruelty and neglect.

We don't discriminate against potential adopters on any basis or for any reason. We approve potential adopters if they are and the animal they applied for is a good fit.

Extra Info.-
*If a dog is listed on Adopt a Pet, they are still available, and we accept applications. We approve applications on the best fit for both dog and family.
*We take our best guess on breed and size when fully grown.
* Our dogs are adopted from their foster home or straight from transport from kill shelters in the south.
*We always need foster homes so we can continue to save dogs. Don't hesitate to contact us if you are interested in fostering. Or fill out the foster application using this link - https://form.jotform.com/210257395409155
