My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi!

My name is Carmelito and I am looking for a forever home! My brother came up with the idea to write poems so we stand out from the other puppies that need homes. Mine is called “Carmelito's Leap Year Wish” , I hope you like it!

In Yuma's warmth, one leap year's day,

Lucy's pups were on their way.

Eight little hearts, a furry brood,

Carmelito's tale, let's include.

Carmelito, a name so sweet,

A leap year pup with tiny feet.

His mother Lucy, found astray,

In her belly, life did sway.

To Central Arizona's care,

They journeyed with love to spare.

Before they reached, Lucy began,

To bring forth life, as nature's plan.

Eight pups arrived, a bundle of joy,

Carmelito, neither shy nor coy.

He doesn't mirror his mom's face,

Perhaps his dad's, a hidden trace.

With siblings seven, a diverse set,

Some look alike, others - a different bet.

His ears, half-mast, in charming stance,

Might they stand? We'll take the chance.

People and treats, he loves them so,

In mud he played, a happy show.

A good time calls, he'll never miss,

For a forever home, is pure bliss.

Leash walks and tricks, he's keen to learn,

For a family's love, he does yearn.

From kennel life, he wishes to part,

To find a house, and share a heart.

Cats are unknown, a mystery still,

But with gentle intro, it's no uphill.

Neutered and chipped, he's set to go,

Carmelito's ready, to steal the show.

So leap year baby, make your plea,

A family's love, as vast as the sea.

Carmelito's wish, on this special date,

To find a home, where love's the fate.

The End!
