My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Peepers, the bare-eyed cockatoo! Peepers is a friendly little ball of energy who enjoys hanging out with her foster parents and eating every single crumb in her food bowl (while begging for more). When she isn't stuffing her beak with her favorite pellets, she is hopping around her cage, dancing to Disney tunes, and trying to lure her foster family into giving her treats. She hates being left out and loves to spend time on her playstand, where she can feel like part of the family. Although friendly, she provides clear body language when she isn't interested in interacting. Peepers is positive for avian bornavirus (ABV) and takes medication daily to help manage her symptoms. Her forever home will need to be conscious about providing her regular vet care, medication, and lots of love! Being a cockatoo, she can be quite loud so she would not appropriate for apartment living. Please note that "her" gender is assumed but unconfirmed. Adoption fee: $340.
