Young kittens need to have another age appropriate kitten for a companion. Unless you already have a young kitten within a month or two of same age needing a buddy you will not be able to adopt a single kitten.  See the following website for more information:

Figaro was found in someone's driveway, soaking wet and cold. When he came to Little Orphans we dried him off, warmed him up, gave him some warm milk replacer and canned kitten food to fill his belly and settled him in for the night. The next day we put him in a foster home with a mama & babies a few weeks older than he was. He loved having siblings to play with and snuggle with, and a mom to clean him up and teach him how to be a cat.

Figaro has been neutered, is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, treated with flea preventative and microchipped. That's a whole lot for such a little guy in one day!
