It's easiest to share Boone's story in a video: https://www.facebook.com/HuskyRescueTeam/videos/2326053247584583
Boone is two years old and has come so far since joining us at H-E-A-R-T. He now weighs 63lbs and has filled out so nicely. His coat and coloring are really starting to shine and he has the most soulful eyes. Don't forget about his ewok ears. He holds them out to the side and they bounce! It's adorable.
Boone is as sweet as they come. He is unsure and timid with strangers but once he gets to know you, he loves to be pet and has no handling issues. You can wipe his paws and touch his ears and tail without issue. He loves the other dogs! He needs a companion dog to play with and feels most secure when he's with canine friends. He loves walks but prefers to walk in areas where he won't encounter new humans. He can get nervous with new people approaching. But his absolute favorite past time is the dog park. OH MY, does he thrive at the dog park. He loves all the dogs and while he won't allow strange people to approach he seems unbothered by them. In fact, he follows children around!
He has found his deep Husky woo and talks to us daily. An ideal home will be someone who isn't out of the house for long stretches of time during the day and who has lots of time to spend with Boone. He loves his people and wants to be close to you. It's been incredibly rewarding to help Boone learn how to just be a Husky. We hope to find someone to adopt who will feel the same satisfaction and awe that we have in giving him a good life.

~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in. If you’re still interested in adopting from our rescue the first step is to complete our adoption application online at www.huskyrescueteam.org/apply
