Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Leona is a sweet, affectionate, and fun loving approximately 2-year-old pup. Her energy level is medium as she enjoys playtime with both people and other dogs but also enjoys a good nap after doing so. She is happy to entertain herself with toys if needed. She is very respectful of children and older people although sometime gets very excited and jumps so very small children may not be the best idea initially. Her ideal home would include another dog that has a similar energy level and someone to continue basic obedience training. She is potty trained and does great in the crate. She is the most gentle treat taker also!
Things she is still practicing:
Not pulling on leash
Four on the floor
Things she excels at:
Playing with other dogs and taking cues
Snuggling when tired
Sitting on command
Things she enjoys:
Chewing on hard toys
Tearing up stuffies ☺
Leona dreams of lots of love with her forever family and she has promised to give back that love 10 fold. She’s a true saved soul who wants to prove to the world she is capable of anything.

We find loving, responsible, committed permanent homes. An in-depth adoption process is used. This includes taking considerable care in finding perfect matches and educating potential adopters about the responsibilities of bringing a dog, especially that particular dog, into their life. Applications may take several days to process and you may not hear from a UU Board member for up to a few weeks at most.

More about this rescue
Unforgettable Underdogs Dog Rescue is a volunteer run non-profit and no-kill dog rescue serving Northeast Wisconsin. We are dedicated to rescuing the underdogs, those who have found themselves homeless. We strive to help dogs in public high-kill shelters, abandoned or dogs being abused or neglected.
Dogs we care for are spayed or neutered, treated for any medical needs they have, and placed into loving foster homes until they find their permanent home. We aim to help dogs in need without discriminating against age or breed as space in foster homes permit. As our finances allow, we aim to take on the most underdog of the cases and help dogs in the most need.
