My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Starburst is a gentle natured kitten that welcomes petting and attention from volunteers and staff. He gets along great with all the other kittens in his house and likes playing with them as well as toys that roll or make a noise. He also enjoys spending time out on the screened area where he can watch the volunteers walk the dogs and can occasionally get to chase after a tiny lizard racing across the outside of the screen.

Starburst was born with a missing toe on both of his front paws. In no way do the missing toes interfere with him walking, running, and playing. Neither does he need any medication or medical treatment for the missing toes. Come meet this delightful kitten and see for yourself what a lovable, great companion he will make.

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
