My name is Chewy!

Chewy is a 13 or 14 year old English Springer Spaniel mix. He is in great health other than missing some bottom teeth. I rescued him from a Los Angeles shelter 12 years ago but he can no longer stay in our home due to issues with our young son.

Chewy is still pretty young at heart and very smart. Understands basic commands, loves walks and has a good amount of energy. Prefers to have indoor access vs be an all outdoor dog. Most comfortable around woman but will acclimate to most others. Does not do well with young kids or cats. Does fine with dogs that are smaller or larger than him but not the same size. He does have a dominant personality and some resource guarding. He is incredibly loyal and protective of his owners. He is a very sweet boy who needs a kind and calm home for his later years.
