My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Please contact Janice (janice.frazier@sbcglobal.net) for more information about this pet.

She is best as an only cat with experienced home

My gosh isnt' she pretty, she knows it but is no Prima Donna either.  Yes October is a character enjoys being petted, and brushed gently, and playing some.  She is people-oriented and is a great companion cat for a single person or quiet home, as is common with calicos. She greets in the morning and loves some petting then and hangs out with you in the evening.  She has no bad vices, and is very sweet, though does't like to be held or carried all over the house. So in this particular case, this beautiful calico is looking for a new home who understands not all cats want attention all the time, and can read body language.  This is why we suspect she will be best in a quiet home without a bunch of little kids taunting her.  And she is a great candidate as a companion cat to someone just wanting a feline in the home.
She can be viewed at the foster home by appointment.

13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat

More about this rescue

13th Street Cats is an all volunteer organization dedicated to improving the lives of feral and social cats and reducing the population by TNR – Trap, Neuter, Return in Santa Clara County. Kittens and cats that can be socialized are taken into foster care while waiting adoption. With a no kill philosophy, 13th St Cats is pleased to be able to rescue these homeless animals who might otherwise end up in a local kill shelter, helping to reduce euthanasia rates.
