My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oh, sweet little Sawyer! At just 10 weeks old and weighing under 5 lbs, you have so much to learn and so much joy to share. We don't think it will take long for you to find your forever home. For more information, please email Stephens County Humane Society at info@stephenscountyshelter.com or call us at 580-252-7387 (PETS). Our animals are spayed/neutered, have age appropriate shots and are treated for fleas/ticks.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We use a simple adoption application/agreement. To complete the application process, we ask for reference letters from the adopting family's veterinarian and two character references. Adoption fees are $100.00 for dogs and $75.00 for cats. Fees include spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccination and age appropriate vaccinations.

We have 3 main requirements for our dog adoptions.
1- We require a fenced yard
2- If you rent, we require a letter from the landlord stating
pets are permitted in their residence.
3- If you have dogs currently, arrangements must be
made for a meet and greet to ensure all parties are
agreeable.

More about this shelter

We are a Humane Society and Rescue organization serving Stephens County, Oklahoma and it's communities. We work closely with local municipal animal control departments in providing shelter to abandoned, abused, and surrendered animals, and finding homes for as many adoptable pets as we possibly can. We stress spaying and neutering as the one key way to prevent unwanted puppies and kittens.
