Betty is an approximately two-year old Brittany with a tail. She is very energetic, loves people, is very affectionate, and gets along well with mellow dogs. When Betty came into rescue she had a painful, chronically infected, congenitally blind eye. After consultation with the vet, NBRAN had the defective eye removed and Betty has thrived now that she is out of pain. Because of the blindness in her one eye, we will not place Betty in a home with young children or overly active dogs who could startle her. Betty is a bigger brit and weights close to 50 pounds. She is current on her vaccinations, HW negative, spayed, housebroken, and crate-trained.
Betty will need a home with a good-sized yard with a secure 6-foot physical fence so she can run her favorite zoomies. A yard with trees and bushes for birds would be heaven for Betty because she is very birdy and loves to go on point. She will need an active adopter or family that will provide the daily exercise she needs. Betty would do well with a regular walker or runner. Her new owner will be expected to continue working with her on leash work and manners.
The adoption fee for Betty $400.00 which helps to offset our vetting and allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.
If you are interested in making Betty a member of your family, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line adoption application form under the Adopt tab. Once the application has been reviewed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator. A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process. Please realize that all our dogs are placed in the most appropriate home for their individual needs. We do not operate on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Betty is eligible to be transported through our canine railroad up to 1400 miles from central CA with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.
