Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ELISE is a very special cat... She was picked up as part of a police intervention on a situation that was quickly becoming out of control.
We met Elise as she was helping one of her sisters care for her litter of kittens. Her sister (Imogen) was trying her best with the kittens while she herself suffered from a broken leg.
Local nonprofit group Pound Pals Downriver stepped up to assist all of the cats picked up from that location. Thank you PPD!
ELISE loves to cuddle in her fluffy bed, though she is most content in a quiet environment with calm people. She's a quiet cat who doesn't care for a lot of chaos.
* AGE: about 1 year old
* TEMPERAMENT: calm
* Why are they at the shelter? found homeless
* Any Health issues? None known
* How are they with other cats? Dogs? gets along well with other animals
* Volunteer Comments? "ELISE is such a good cat!"
Thank you for your interest in adopting a shelter cat!
NOW HOW DO I MEET OR ADOPT THIS CAT?
!. Go to our website at wacshelter.com.
2. Click on the "Apply To Adopt" button to submit an online adoption application.
** NOTE: You will get an email confirmation that we have received your
application. If you do not see this email appear upon submission, please check
your "spam" folder.
3. Your application will be processed and a volunteer adoption counselor will call or email with any questions.
** NOTE: If any questions are left unanswered or incomplete, the application
cannot be processed. A completely filled out application will take 1-3 days to
process! Missing or inaccurate answers may invalidate the application.
4. We will set up a time with you to meet the animal you've applied to adopt!
** NOTE: Our volunteers strive to make the best possible match once the application is accepted. Our goal is a fit that benefits both the cat and the home!
** We DO give preference to applicants with verifiable pet experience.
All cats are spayed/neutered, FeLV/FIV negative unless otherwise indicated.
All cats are up to date on age appropriate vaccinations.
All of our resident cats use their litter boxes unless otherwise indicated. Cats are naturally inclined to use a litter box.
Cat Fact: If a domestic cat is not using a litter box THEY ARE TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING IS WRONG! It should never be ignored! Your cat is depending on you for help.
Our adoption fee for felines is $65.
That covers the cost of spay/neuter, FeLV/FIV test, deworming, flea prevention (if applicable) and vaccinations (if applicable).
We look forward to meeting you!
Please email us at wacvolunteers@gmail.com with any additional question
** NOTE: Be sure to check out our Facebook page at Wyandotte Animal Shelter (https://www.facebook.com/wacshelter/) for day to day updates on our cats and dogs. :)
