Hi! I am Casey and I am a very playful Lab mix! I am very much a people dog. I love all people and I’m a big snuggle bug. I also love treats. I am a good chewer too meaning, I chew on my toys! I am potty trained and haven’t had the need to be kenneled. I’m an athletic girl and like to test the boundaries, so would need a 6’foot fence or on a leash outside or possibly underground fence. But a 4’ fence won’t keep me in! :) I have been living with a cat and that’s fine but have had some issues with the other dog in the home. SDRD is a state licensed 501(c)3 non-profit no kill dog rescue and group foster home located in Topeka, KS.

It is our goal to network with other local rescues and shelters to save dogs that are at risk for being euthanized due to lack of space.

We are committed to educating the public on responsible pet ownership, the importance of spaying and neutering, along with the dangers of purchasing a dog from a pet store or puppy mill.
