Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more.
Alfie is a playful, affectionate, and intelligent pup who’s as loyal as they come! His foster family thinks he’s a real gem, and it’s easy to see why. Alfie has a wonderful balance of energy and relaxation – he’s ready for walks, runs, and outdoor fun, but he’s just as happy to snuggle up and be a couch potato with his favorite person.
Alfie is great with female dogs and has a blast playing with his furry foster sister – they love to chase each other and even perform synchronized “squiggles” in the grass! When he’s especially excited, Alfie will proudly parade around with his favorite toys, bringing a smile to everyone around him.
While Alfie is always thrilled to meet new people, he can sometimes be a bit wary of unfamiliar faces or dogs. He would do best in a calm home without young kids, where he can relax and build his confidence at his own pace. And since he has a strong prey instinct, he’d be happiest in a home without cats.
If you’re looking for a loyal friend who’s ready for both outdoor adventures and lazy days on the couch, Alfie could be your perfect match. Bonus: he’s a water lover too! Put in an application to meet this lovable guy and see if he’s the companion you’ve been looking for!
Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information.
** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process. We appreciate your understanding and patience. **
HOW TO ADOPT: Check the animal’s location. (If you cannot see the animal’s location, please view the pet’s profile through our website: https://www.seattle.gov/animal-shelter/find-an-animal/adopt)
