My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Scooby is a very obedient, faithful and goofy best friend, he is looking for a loving family.  Scooby is great at entertaining himself  throwing the toy up in the air and catching it or whipping it around, or chasing his tail. He also enjoys playing with his people.  He prefers tug of war or a squeaky ball,  he loves to fetch when there’s a treat involved, which he will look at your hand first before dropping the ball.  Scooby loves the outdoors and loves playing in water. He is always up for an adventure and loves butt scratches. He is crate trained, has fantastic leash manners, understands sit, lay down, no, come here and does wait until you say go to eat his food although there will be some drool.  Scooby is very smart, eager to please and will do anything for a treat and to be by your side or sitting on your feet or lap.

Scooby's previous owner reports that he played well with other male dogs and does have an allergy to chicken

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require each applicant to complete an adoption application, followed by a home visit. We also contact personal and veterinarian references. We want to make sure that the next home our furbabies go to, is their last, and that they will be loved like a member of the family.

Go meet their pets

We are a foster based rescue, but do also have a small shelter. You can contact us at diamondunderdogs@yahoo.com to setup an appointment to come out and check out some of our adoptables.

More about this rescue

Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue is a non profit animal rescue organization that is run by a dedicated group of volunteers. Our mission is to protect the welfare of animals, one life at a time, from unnecessary euthanasia. From high kill shelters to foster homes to caring adoptive families, Diamonds in the Ruff handles every aspect of the rescue process. Our animals are examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and receive necessary medical treatment. Foster homes are used to provide sanctuary and ensure a successful placement. Our goal is to make the adoption process a kind, informative and rewarding experience because we believe that every animal can become a treasured family pet.

Why we do it:
4 million animals are euthanized each year in the United States.
That is 300,000 a month
Over 11,000 each day
Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue works tirelessly to decrease this statistic.
