My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Luna is a sweet senior who lost the only home she has ever known. She is an 11.5 year old, 55 lb terrier blend hoping there is an angel who appreciates an older dog that will give her a new place to lay her head. She is house trained and knows all about manners. She isn’t destructive when left out and sleeps in a dog bed overnight so we don’t know if she’s crate trained. She is sweet, happy and very lovable; her smile says it all. She is older and can be a little stiff when she first gets up, but she still loves to play, go exploring, and get belly rubs. The mutual love she and her former owner shared is apparent, but sadly he passed away and Luna ended up in a small overcrowded rural TX shelter. Luna has a lot of love to give and a lot of laughs and snuggles to bring with her to her new home. We have not been able to test Luna with cats or kids but her previous foster in TX said she’s good with respectful children. She hasn’t attempted a flight of stairs so her new home should not have a lot of stairs to access the outdoor/potty area. She is taking all the changes in stride trusting that these new humans will find her a new person or family to devote her remaining years to. She needs to find a home where she can relax and breath and bond. And go for walkies! She keeps a great pace. Another friendly doggie friend would be appreciated in her new home but not necessary if her humans are around most of the time. She got a clean bill of health from the vet and her bloodwork looks great. If you would like to meet Luna please complete our application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms
We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Luna’s adoption fee is $175 and she is spayed, up to date on all her vaccinations, HW-, and chipped. We do not adopt outside of Colorado.

More about this rescue

CO Corgis and Friends is a 501 c3 dog Rescue (specializing in Corgis and other lowrider breeds) that was formed in late 2019 by a group of Corgi loving people who not only love and understand the Corgi breed, but love all other dogs as well. The founding members have over 100+ years of experience owning Corgis and 50+ years in Rescue. It is our pleasure to help homeless dogs in need, help struggling owners rehome their pets, and offer advice on training issues typical of this herding breed. Please feel free to contact us to see if we can help!
Our mission is to help find Corgis and other breeds loving forever homes, share our knowledge of the Corgi breed through outreach and education, help reduce the pet population by promoting spay/neuter, and educating the community about responsible pet care and relationships.
