Home to Home Adoption....Meet Chowder. Chowder is a very strong spirited young girl that is a very quick learner and needs help with training. She is very high energy, and a fenced yard is a requirement. The perfect fit for Chowder would be a very active lifestyle person or couple that would want a dog to be a companion to go on car rides and play ball or take on walks or go camping. Chowder is dog selective so would do best as an only dog home. Since she is so strong, I would say an adult only home at this point. She will be going to dog training classes soon as well. The Forest County Humane Society is a non-profit, no-kill shelter in the great north woods located in Crandon, Wisconsin. We rescue, rehabilitate and adopt out all breeds of dogs and cats. Every animal is given a thorough examination by a veterinarian before placing them in a loving home and all animals are tested for Lyme disease, heartworm, feline leukemia and other infectious or debilitating diseases.
