My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tanner and Tucker, a/k/a TnT. Why? Because they are dyn-o-mite! Tanner and Tucker (both male) are approximately 8 month old littermates who are looking for a home together. They are both altered, microchipped and up to date on their vaccinations. Read below to find out what makes them so special!!

A note from foster parents:

“Tucker and Tanner are two amazing cats who I (the foster) have been working with for the last 4 months. It took me 3 months before they sought me out and let me pet them, but the transformation from where they started to where they are now is absolutely incredible. When they came to me they were scared of human touch and wouldn't let anyone near them willingly. They have come a long way since then; perking up at meal times, allowing and even asking for multiple long petting sessions, "talking" when they have something to say, and giving kisses on the hand.

They love to play with each other and any toys (or toy-like objects) they can get their paws on. Due to this, I know they are definitely bonded. They don't just play with each other; they will interact with us via play. Some of their favorite toys are jingling balls and feather wands.

They are wonderful, but they aren't lap cats and don't like to be picked up.  It is very important for these boys to acclimate in a small space, so they can properly adjust before giving free roam of the house. They will be shy and will find places to hide while they adjust, so don't be concerned if they don't come out right away or they take longer to trust new spaces.

They are both litterbox trained and are using pellets at the moment (pellets or unscented litter preferred as Tucker might have some allergies for scented litter). Even though they love our other cats (they want to play with them), they would do better in a home without small children, as they still play a bit rough at times. Tanner and Tucker haven't been around dogs so we have no idea how they would do around them.

If you are willing to give a couple of excellent playmates that just want to co-exist and give love on their terms, these are the boys for you.”

Please complete the application below if you’d like to get approved to meet them. Tanner and Tucker have a combined adoption fee of $175.

Applications are submitted and reviewed by volunteers. The vet listed as well as personal references are contacted before a home check is scheduled. Once an application is approved, a meet and greet is scheduled to ensure the applicant is a good fit for the pet. As long as everything goes well with the applicant and existing pets during the meet and greet, the applicant may adopt the pet!

More about this rescue

Fairy Tails Rescue, Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit, animal rescue based in Harford County, Maryland. We are dedicated to rescuing homeless, abandoned or unwanted animals in danger of death, abuse or neglect.

We place animals in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process which includes thorough applications/questionnaires/conversations, taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing an animal into their homes and lives.

Animals in our care are spayed/neutered if applicable, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in caring foster homes while they await placement in their forever homes.

Virtually every dollar taken in goes directly to the care of the animals. Our rescue remains interested in and committed to the welfare of the animal beyond the adoption process.

Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations across the country to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless pets.
