My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Merry, short for Merry Christmas. This sweet girl lived her life outside under a porch, running the streets and having back-to-back litters.  Saving her from her previous life proved to be a challenge. After countless visits from us pleading with the homeowner to relinquish her, Animal Control was able to pick her up and we welcomed her into the rescue.

Merry is healthy, up-to-date on vaccines and is learning how to live inside a home.  She is kennel trained and housebroken as well as good with dogs, cats and kids.  Currently, Merry is being fostered with multiple dogs and cats but would be happier in a calmer environment. She loves attention from her humans and car rides.

More about this rescue

Welcome! MABBR was created by a group of bully breed enthusiasts to save these delightful but often misunderstood dogs. Not only does MABBR rescue and find homes for homeless bull breeds such as American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, American Bulldogs, Bull Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Bull Mastiffs, mixed breeds, and other Mollasser-type dogs, MABBR also focuses on education, outreach, and assisting cities with drafting safer and more effective breed-neutral dangerous dog laws.
