My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our sweet Nadene has been with us since December 2023, we can’t believe it! She’s about the sweetest girl around! She loves kids and wants nothing more than to be a couch potato with you. She’s AMAZING on a leash and takes correction extremely well! Nadene previously had no interest in being around other dogs but over the course of this year with training she has come leaps and bounds! She has found one of our male dogs that she just adores, Hunter. They are both about the same size and exercise level and we are thrilled she’s found someone to play with! Even though it sounds like a small step it is big in the world of Nadene and her future. She’s currently our longest resident and we would love to find her the perfect family after all this time! Nadene has interacted with 3 different autistic children and she absolutely clings to them. She will thrive in an experience home where she can gain confidence.

More about this rescue

We are a nonprofit kennel managed by the Saline Animal League. We strive to find the right home for every adoptable animal. Saline Animal League has been overseeing daily operations of rescue, for over 20 years, since our founding in 1997. Our primary goal is to keep our rescue running smoothly, so we can continue to care for, and find loving homes for all animals that come through our door.
To maintain our status as a no-kill shelter, it takes dedication; dedication from our Shelter Staff, Volunteers, and Community who help us network our animals so they find their fur-ever homes, and raise funds so we can continue to keep our animals healthy.
