For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Olive Oil was semi feral stray Chihuahua mix puppy who has been in foster for weeks and have warmed up to people. Currently she is being fostered with one of our dog trainers that specializes in timid, shy dogs. She is guessed to be about 6 months old.
Olive Oil is adorable and loves to wrestle with his brother. Lots of puppy energy that is super fun to watch:) She also loves to cuddle up in her dog bed or in your lap once she gets used to you. She is also kennel trained.
Her Foster mom is working with her on pee pad training and potty training, socializing with dogs and humans, leash training & doggie door training.
There are lots of other dogs at her foster moms house so we know she is dog friendly, her foster doesn't have any cats but thinks she would be fine with them if introduced properly.
She thinks she would do better in a quiet home with adults or older children to work with her. Another confident dog could be helpful, but not necessary.
She will need an adopter, who will give her love and patience.
Please consider this adorable girl as a part of your family. She deserves all the kindness and will give you a lifetime of affection. The shy dogs become the most loyal dogs, who adore their humans.
Her foster mom is located in Fort Collins Colorado and wants to find a patient adopter who is willing to help her continue with her training and help her gain confidence either with in person, or virtual training session(s). She will provide a discount on training. The amount of training needed will depend on the knowledge and experience of the adopter and how far along she is at the time of adoption.
