My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

On March 29^th of this year 2024, our beautiful Lumina gave birth to 12 puppies and raised everyone of them to a place that they are now seeking adoptions. Every0ne of these precious babies survived because of the great love and mothering skills of this Mountain Cur mix girl. We call her Lumina because she illuminates the world with her kind spirit and sweetness. When you look into her eyes you see a connection of love and hope. Lumina was a stray and discovered by a woman in Tennessee right at the time that she was almost ready to give birth. Lumina has a calm spirit and someone will be so lucky to have her as their very own. She has some anxiety about being left alone but with time she will come to understand that she will not be abandoned by new family. She is housebroken pretty much and easy going and goes with the flow within a family’s lifestyle rhythm. She is loving, adaptable, gorgeous and kind. Gets along with all other creatures and loves the 4 year old toddler in the family. A busy little boy who she loves to see. Most all our dogs are fostered in Tennessee and transport up to the Northeast or New England. Our fees start at $500 and can be higher depending on the dog and circumstances for their vetting. All fees cover the health certificate, transportation up to designated places for families to pick up their pre-adopted dog, spay/neuter, rabies, all shots, fecal and dewormings, microchip, complete vet check up and 4 way heartworm test if dogs are older than 8 months.

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website.
