Female. Birthday: Oct 16, 2022 Good with dogs: yes Best suited to a Farm home
Hi, I’m Cleo. I’m a very, very shy girl with people, but fantastic with other dogs. I was born on a farm and learned to guard the pigs on my farm. We were all stuck in small pens, but, with lots of freedom, I still don’t take off. I’m in a foster home in town right now and it’s ok, but it’s really not my jam. I have zero interest in being around those people things; I mean, I do like it when they give me treats, and I’ll even tolerate pets- my foster mom says I have beautiful super soft fur and my foster dad calls me the blonde beauty. Sometimes they, or the teenager here sit with me quietly and give me treats and I let them pet my head but, honestly, I totally don’t get the appeal. The dogs in the home though, well, I think they’re pretty cool. I hang out with the older one sometimes, but he likes being with those people things too much for me. The younger dog and I play really nicely together - he’s fun! There are chickens across the fence and I stay pretty close to where they are; my foster mom thinks it makes me feel a little more at home. I am a mix of Boerboel (African Mastiff) and Šarplaninac (Yugoslavian Shepherd), so I am a good mix of guardian breeds. If you have a farm where I can fit in with your dogs and give a paw in guarding your animals, pop an application in for me!

All adoptions begin with an adoption application, available here or on our website (or from one of our wonderful volunteers in person). The application is reviewed by the adoptable animal's foster home as well as by the appropriate coordinator (canine/feline) to assess how the animal will fit in your home. We endeavour to respond to all applications within 72 hours, but being 100% run by volunteers sometimes we need additional time--if you haven't heard back after 72 hours, feel free to contact us to check in on your application.
Canine Adoption Fees:
$450 for puppies under 1 year of age
$375 for dogs over 1 year & under 7 years
$300 for dogs 7 years and older
Feline Adoption Fees:
$250 for kittens and cats up to 12 months old
$200 for cats between 1-6 years old
$150 for cats 6 years old and older
Adoption fees help offset the cost to our organization of providing full medical care (including spay or neuter surgery) to each animal we adopt to a furever home.
