My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pogun🥰

* With People: Is initially shy but becomes incredibly affectionate if approached gently. Loves people and enjoys being petted.
* With Dogs: Gets along well with all his canine friends. If disturbed while resting, he may growl as a warning, but he does not bite.
* With Cats: Is highly excited when encountering cats, so careful management is required.
* Separation Anxiety: Since he's living communally at the Center, it's unclear whether he has separation anxiety. However, he does well with other dogs.
* Potty Training: Prefers outdoor potty and occasionally may make mistakes indoors, especially when becoming excited.
* Hygiene: Handles all aspects of grooming well, including baths, brushing, nail trimming, teeth cleaning, and ear cleaning. Tolerates even hairdryer well enough to sleep through it without scare.
* Walks: Loves walks and can walk or even run without support from a harness.
* Car Sickness: Generally rides well in cars, though he may drool slightly.

💌Special Note💌
* Accepts medical care nicely and uncomplainingly.
* Regularly receives rehabilitation therapy once a week, and his leg strength is improving!
* Has pee accidents occasionally, but has since recovered greatly.
❗Is looking for a forever home where he can receive the specialized care he needs to support his treatment.❗

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

All our dogs fly from South Korea to the US and Canada when their adoptions are finalized so the adopters cannot go through "meet and greet."
But once applicants pass zoom interview, we will connect adopter to foster team for the most up to date news as well as photos and videos. The adopter can post any questions and can make video call as well.
Please hold our dog's hands so that they can forget about the painful past and live happily.

More about this rescue

ADOGS(Adopt Dogs), a non-profit organization, is an abandoned dog foster/adoption organization launched by an individual volunteer group that has rescued, fostered, adopted dogs since 2018.

We are conducting rescue, foster, adopt from South Korea rural shelter. We also rescue dogs irregularly from illegal dog farms or any other places that need help.
We rescue large and small dogs of all breeds, including dogs with special needs.

Although we can't save all abandoned dogs in the world, we are doing our best to the dogs in front of us so that their lives can be changed like any other pets.

In expanding our search for adoption leads, we’ve broadened our mission: To bring at-risk dogs across the Pacific to loving stateside families.

Due to limited demand for large-breed dogs in Korea, arranging for local adoption has proven almost impossible. Instead, we seek to bring these persecuted dogs to the United States where dogs have a higher chance for adoption and survival.
