For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
This stunning pup is Red! He came to the shelter as a lost boy on 5/26, and was adopted on 06/01. Red was brought back to the shelter on Oct. 1 - it seems he escaped his fence and went after the family's chickens. The family reports that he is good with other dogs and cats, and he's also good with children "but doesn't know his own size" so families with small children may not be a good fit. He has been an outside dog, so it's unknown if he is potty trained. The volunteers describe Red as friendly, smart, and curious. He's initially a bit shy, but then quickly becomes a love bug once he warms up! Red knows several commands including sit and lay down.
Red is approximately 1.5 years old, and he weighs 60 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, neutered and microchipped, he will be heartworm tested upon adoption. Red is waiting in run 76; his ID # is 662273.
Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER.
