My name is Haze!

The shelter can be very scary. The first few days are a tough transition for many dogs. Haze was terrified when he first came in. Him and his sister, Lexi, were walked together in the hopes that he would be comforted by her. He was not. Nothing seemed to give him comfort. For three days Haze was like a deer in headlights. Nearly frozen in fear. He would walk on-leash but only very slowly. He would allow us to pet him but there was no wiggle or wag from him.
Then something wonderful happened. Days 1-3 we saw little improvements. A slight tail wag. His head held up a little higher. But then on day 4... Wow! Haze's personality emerged. He is prancing around on his walks. Happily greeting total strangers and asking for pets. And now when he sees Lexi he is ready to rock & roll. Watching him play with his sister without a care in the world is heartwarming. It's enough to make you melt.
He has lived with kids, cats, and other dogs.
