Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Petunia is our giant lady. Being that big, she also has a massive heart filled with love. She can be very awkward and funny and would be an amazing furbaby to have in your family.
Petunia has a special veterinary diet.
She can be selective with other dogs, but has been a great playmate with some. She also seems fine with cats. Petunia would be a great family dog, however, due to her size and her endless energy, she might be too much for younger kids.
She also loves fetching, tugging and chewing on rope toys and will need lots of enrichment in that area. Another massive thing she loves is playing in water. We are hoping her future family will take that into consideration and take her on so many swimming trips throughout the summer.
In the shelter, so far she mastered Sit and Place. She will need a lot of work with her leash manners, as she is very strong, however, with the right tools and her food motivation, this shouldn't be too hard with the right consistency.

Over 1,100 animals pass through our doors every year. Did you know that the average cost to get our animals ready to be adoptable is roughly $350 per animal? That is because we require our adoptables to be spayed/neutered and fully vaccinated before adopting out.
Population control and disease management are issues in our community that we are working hard to resolve. Your donations help ensure we can continue our mission.
We have an amazing team of hard working staff caring for our animals 7 days a week. They are supported by a group of engaged board members that are focused on bettering our organization.
