Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Silt, Pyrite, and Blueberry are a bonded trio of male rats whose age is unknown. They came to us in May 2024 along with 16 other rats who desperately needed a safe place to land. Silt and Blueberry were treated for infections, but all three are now healthy and looking for their next adventure.
Pyrite is a gorgeous solid fawn, Blueberry is black hooded, and Silt is a silvery hooded rat with a short tail that doesn't bother him one bit. These boys are on the quieter side, still learning to love and seek attention from us. Generally, they prefer to do their own thing. They love hammocks!
UPDATE 07/19/2024: Silt, Pyrite, and Blueberry had a recurrence of their respiratory infection which they have since recovered from. Sadly, they did not appreciate being medicated or going to the vet and have had a setback in their taming. Silt in particular is nervous and does not want to be handled. Pyrite and Blueberry are generally calm and handleable, so long as you don't startle Silt- if he gets scared, they do too. Silt did bite his foster parent, but only the one time. Regardless, these three would do best in an experienced home without small children. We are working on regaining their trust with patience and lots of treats.
These boys can join an existing group of rats or stay a terrific trio!
We can meet for adoptions within 1 hour of Minneapolis. Potentially further- please inquire and we can discuss!
