Sweet Nila was surrendered to the shelter when her owner was evicted from her housing and had nowhere for her or Nila to go. At first, Nila can be very spooked and anxious in a new environment, especially one as different as the shelter, but given some time she'll show off her silly personality and funloving nature! Nila will let her guard down on walks off the shelter property, and when spending time with her favorite staff members. She is young and very active, but needs a calm home and family environment with no children under 14.

We ask all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application which allows us to check certain points of reference (vets, home ownership status, previous pets, etc). If the application looks good, the adopter signs the adoption contract which states, among other things, the animal(s) will have a permanent home with said adopter and if for any reason this becomes impossible, the animal must be returned to Four Legs Good. Four Legs Good reserves the right to place a follow-up phone call or visit, with notice, within the first year of adoption.

Four Legs Good is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing the most humane treatment of Rockland County animals in need. We started as a small group of dedicated volunteers who decided to make a difference in the lives of feral, homeless and abandoned animals. We are currently working out of the RG CARES Animal Shelter.
