Two year old Axel is a happy, confident Rottie looking for a forever home after his owner abandoned him and his brother. Axel walks nicely on a leash and has really enjoyed walks on the nature trail with our staff. He's an intelligent boy and has quickly learning the routine of shelter live, adapting quickly.
Axel is good with other dogs of similar size, but not with smaller dogs or cats, and would do best in a family with big dog experience. Does not like children!!

We ask all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application which allows us to check certain points of reference (vets, home ownership status, previous pets, etc). If the application looks good, the adopter signs the adoption contract which states, among other things, the animal(s) will have a permanent home with said adopter and if for any reason this becomes impossible, the animal must be returned to Four Legs Good. Four Legs Good reserves the right to place a follow-up phone call or visit, with notice, within the first year of adoption.

Four Legs Good is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing the most humane treatment of Rockland County animals in need. We started as a small group of dedicated volunteers who decided to make a difference in the lives of feral, homeless and abandoned animals. We are currently working out of the RG CARES Animal Shelter.
