MEET LOANIE! SEE VIDEO!!!! - Loanie is in a foster home, please make an appointment to meet her!
Loanie is one of the dogs who came to us directly from a shelter in the Bahamas. She is a shy but very sweet and playful girl who is new to life here in New England. She started her life at a shelter in the Bahamas living with a bunch of other dogs and being well cared for by the caretakers at the sanctuary. She has learned so much since she`s been with us, and is getting more comfortable with staff + volunteers everyday! We are starting to get an idea of her likes/dislikes and have come to realize she really is still very much a puppy at heart!
A quiet/rural environment is best as she has no experience living in an urban environment and can be fearful of lots of noises, cars and bicycles. A fenced yard is a requirement due to her still learning to be on leash. If she has an opportunity to run, play and use the bathroom in a yard situation she can then slowly acclimate to leash walks at her own pace. Though she has her quirks, Loanie truly is a sweetheart.
Please contact our Dedham branch to schedule a time to meet her - she`s easy to fall in love with!
Loanie is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and been seen by our vet team. For more information on Loanie or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.
