Bowser was excited to get out of the kennel. Once leashed he jumped on the handler then tried to pull to go outside. He`s a tank on a leash and cared more about sniffing the environment then listening to the handler—you can capture his attention though and he will redirect his focus. He stopped eating to see why we were petting him, and he ate faster when we tried to take the food bowl. No other guarding warnings presented. Dog interaction was a little forward and rude to start but would appease at the opposing dog’s request. He would try to initiate play again with or without a correction from the dog. Did well with both sexes. He greets to investigate person, if he’s unsure he backs up with a quick wagging tail, low growl, and deep quick warning barks; gains space and keeps person in front of him. Bowser needs a slow introduction and treat/retreat game to warm up to people. Once he knows you, you can handle him in every way—he enjoys it and initiates more contact.
