Meet Nibs, a charming 2-year-old Domestic Shorthair (DSH) who was found as a stray on May 15, 2024. Initially shy and hiding in his kennel, Nibs` sweet nature was hard to see in the shelter environment. However, on June 14, 2024, Nibs found a foster home where he began to blossom.

Nibs has gradually come out of his shell and settled into a routine. He now greets familiar faces with affection, enjoys some pets, and then retreats to his favorite napping spot. His foster family describes him as loving and chirpy when he seeks out attention.

Nibs gets along well with other cats but remains unsure about dogs. He would thrive in a smaller, quiet family that appreciates a low-key snuggle buddy. If you`re looking for a gentle and affectionate companion, Nibs could be the perfect addition to your home.

To adopt a pet, we encourage you to visit the Pet Adoption Center as often as you like. You will be asked to fill out an adopton application and speak to a staff member who will help you make your selection. We are happy to keep your information on file and work with you to the best of our ability to help you find the perfect pet. Adoption fees are $60.00 this includes, spay or neuter, microchip, worming, some vaccinations, and heartworm test for. We offer a feline leukemia test for $15.00 non refundable at the time of adoption.

We are located across from the St. Charles Community College, approximately 3 miles south of I70 and 1 mile north of Hwy 94 on Mid Rivers Mall Drive. We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10am to 5pm, Wednesday 10am to 6:30pm, and Saturday 10 to 4pm

St. Charles County Pet Adoption Center is a full service animal shelter. Our Animal Control Officers work throughout St. Charles County to protect animals and people and educate animal owners about responsible pet ownership. At our Pet Adoption Center, we take in strays for safe keeping until their owners come to claim them. We offer microchipping services to the public during our regular business hours. The Pet Adoption Center always has a large variety of dogs and cats available for adoption.
